Hanoi-based label Subtle Le Nguyen gained international attention after securing a coveted stockist, online retailer SSENSE. Co-founded by Jang Le and Nhat Viet, the label fuses contemporary womenswear with details reminiscent of traditional Vietnamese dress.

W0dd is a Bangkok based jewellery brand that celebrates fluid expressions of gender. Their signature blob alphabet and logo charms have been a bestseller since 2021. They are stocked regionally, and have organised pop-ups in Shanghai and now Tokyo. W0ddd’s latest pop-up in Tokyo is hosted by Smile Code Japan, a platform created for brands and designers to sell and showcase their works in Japan.

Siam Discovery, Bangkok

A much talked-about brand, Pipatchara is having a month-long pop-up at Siam Discovery. Known for their handmade macrame bags, the label continues to experiment with different materials every season. Most recently, the brand designed a series of party-ready ensembles with recycled water bottle caps. The brand had a viral moment, when Lisa from Blackpink was pictured wearing a matching top and skirt set.

Brightspot Market
3 to 6 October 2024
Agora at Thamrin Nine

The highly anticipated Brightspot Market consists of over 200 local brands and 7000 square metres of retail space. Tenants include fashion, lifestyle, food and beauty. Some brands will launch exclusive collections at the event, including Made To Wander (MTW) and Tokyo Didiyo. With so much to explore, its organisers advise attendees to wear comfortable shoes. Singapore

Cloop Fashion Swap

Trade in last year’s Halloween costume for a new look at October’s Cloop Fashion Swap; a more sustainable option than buying a brand new costume every year. The event was initiated by Cloop, a circularsocial enterprise focused on reducing fashion overconsumption and waste. Adults and kids are welcome. Pasar Glamour
5 & 6 Oct 2024
Enabling Village, 20 Lengkok Bahru, Singapore

Pasar Glamour is a not-for-profit initiation founded by celebrities Janice Koh, Pam Oei and Petrina Kow. Preloved designer clothes donated from their network of entertainment, media and fashion friends will be available for sale. Beneficiaries for this year include Aware Singapore, Arc Children’s Centre, Limitless Singapore and the Goh Chok Tong Enable Fund. Run on a volunteer basis, 100% of their proceeds will go towards these charities. In its final year, Pasar Glamour will also partner with SG Minds to work alongside persons with intellectual disabilities in preparation for the event.
