What is your educational background?

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from OCAD University and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Graphic Design from Liverpool John Moores University

How would you describe your practice?

My work explores the entanglement among dreams, memories and physicality, and how they define the past and the future through looking, seeing, questioning, and believing. 

What are the highlight projects in your career so far?

As You Grow Older, constructed with references from my family photos and interpreted dreams, as well as European arts and American photography. It brought forth the questions of the self for me as a Vietnamese person. The staged image acts as an extension of my family photo album, a creation and record that reveal each character in unusual, often overlooked places that they find themselves positioned in, while references to foreign cultures suggest and intensify the desire to belong for the youth in a country that was brutalised of its own selfhood.

What are you currently working on?

Mother Dearest (2024) video and installation, an extension of my photographic work As You Grow Older.
