What is your background?

I have a background in computer engineering, film and TV, and fashion photography.

What are other experiences that have led you to your current work?

With over a decade of experience as a broadcasting engineer in a postproduction and production company, I have cultivated a rich foundation that has been pivotal to my artistic evolution. In this role, I managed the troubleshooting of diverse technical requirements for industry professionals, including film editors, colorists, VFX artists, restoration experts, directors, and producers.

These collaborative experiences offered me profound insights, sparking creativity and encouraging innovative experimentation. Throughout my engineering career, I continuously practised and honed these talents, seamlessly integrating technical expertise with artistic expression. This dual focus has deeply enriched my artistic depth, combining technical precision, creative ingenuity, and logical problem-solving to inform my work.

How would you describe your practice?

For me, each moment is a canvas, blending strength and vulnerability, with both successes and setbacks as essential steps in my evolution. The present is a space for experimentation and discovery, while the past serves as an archive of lessons and choices—a foundation that humbles and inspires me. Every experience is an opportunity to grow and redefine my craft.

In my art, I seek to capture the “aura” of my subjects, finding beauty in chaos and sorrow. Each project is crafted to reveal deeper layers, inviting viewers into stories beyond appearances. My work taps into the invisible forces within each frame, exploring emotions that lie between visibility and the intangible. I embrace anonymity, allowing my creations to speak directly to viewers, free from the influence of my identity. Whether in photography, filmmaking, direction, or colour artistry, I aim to forge meaningful connections and push boundaries, redefining artistry both locally and globally.

What are the highlight projects in your career so far?

Some of the standout moments in my career include collaborations with renowned brands, fashion houses, and high-profile events, such as high-fashion runways. Working alongside designers, artists, and celebrities has been particularly rewarding, allowing me to infuse my unique style into every project. Additionally, showcasing my artwork through exhibitions has been a significant highlight, providing an opportunity to share my creative vision with a wider audience.

What are you currently working on?

I am currently immersed in collaborations with fashion schools in the Philippines, where I have the privilege of learning and working alongside emerging designers and future talents. This partnership fuels my passion for learning while allowing me to infuse their creations with my artistic vision, encouraging them to push boundaries and redefine fashion in the
Philippines through innovative and expressive approaches.

At the same time, I am preparing for an inspiring series of fine art exhibitions slated for 2025, including a group showcase in Thailand and three major group and solo exhibitions in the Philippines. These endeavours reflect my dedication to sharing my artistry on a broader stage. I eagerly anticipate new opportunities and collaborations, both within the vibrant industries of the Philippines and globally, as they promise to unlock fresh creative dimensions and expand my artistic journey.
